Ugachick is the king of poultry industries in Uganda and is owned by Mr. Aga Sekalala Snr. and Aga Sekalala Jr.

Mr. Aga Sekalala Snr. is a Ugandan whose business activities have span in hotel ownership and management, vanilla production and export, dairy farm, veterinary drugs and agro-chemicals. He was  one of the directors of the Bank of Uganda for 13 years. Presently he is treasurer of Uganda Manufacturers Association, Director of Tropical Africa Bank and Managing Director of Ugachick Poultry Breeders Limited.

Mr. Aga Sekalala Jr. is a graduate of Chemical Engineering from an American University. He works in the family business.

The Company was established in 1991 and began operations in 1992.

EggsUgachick Poultry Breeders Limited is the first integrated Poultry Project in Uganda. With a stock of 100,000 birds, Ugachick has a hatchery supply of more than 28,000 eggs per day.

The Company has a group of contracted farmers supplying live broilers to a processing plant, and in turn receive free extension services and a guaranteed market.

We are the leading producer of safe quality poultry products and animal feed in Uganda. Our prices are very affordable. It is our aim to give the customers the confidence in our product manufacture and provision of services.

Uganda has the ingredients to produce a high quality floating fish feed. Ugachick has taken the initiative to invest in equipment to produce floating fish feed, knowing that fish farming development is dependent on access to high quality feed at affordable prices. Read more

Established in 1992, the Company produces day-old chicks, animal and fish feeds, broilers, processed chicken and catfish.

Production is under the management of Aga Sekalala Snr. and Aga Sekalala Jnr. It is located about 15 miles from Kampala–Uganda; and currently employs 265 persons.
